The Restoration
This matching pair arrived painted in a baby blue finish and without seat cushions.
During restoration, the frames were refinished in matt grey while the solid teak arms and central back splats were left exposed to retain the warmth and character of the timber.
New houndstooth tweed cushions were fitted, returning the chairs to practical use while giving the pair a sharper, more contemporary finish.
The Materials
The pair is built from solid teak, with the arms and central back splats left exposed so the natural grain remains part of the piece.
The matt grey finish, applied during restoration, sits quietly against the exposed teak and provides a neutral ground for the newly upholstered black-and-white houndstooth tweed cushions.

The pair were restored by The Heritage Edit. Both the matt grey finish and the houndstooth tweed upholstery were fitted during that restoration and are not original to the chairs.
